Please note: Unfortunately, because of the Covid 19 situation, I will not be teaching Alexander Technqiue lessons for the foreseeable future.
I offer one-to-one lessons in the Alexander Technique. In a lesson you will receive some gentle hands-on guidance and some verbal instruction. Some time will be spent exploring the everyday activities of sitting and standing and some time will be spent with you lying on a table in semi-supine (or 'active rest') while I gently invite your musculature to release some of its unnecessary tension.
I am also happy to explore with you any specific activity of your choice. A few examples include walking, playing a musical instrument, sitting in a saddle (not only useful for horseriders!), giving a speech and working at a computer.
The lessons provide an opportunity to become aware of harmful patterns of muscular tension and an opportunity to respond differently to a stimulus instead of habitually.
The result is a calm, centred alertness, more freedom of movement, enhanced wellbeing and improved posture.
Lessons at 3 Seymour Avenue in Worcester cost £30 each and last 40-45 minutes.
Alternatively, if paid for in advance, you can purchase 10 lessons for the cost of 9: £270 for 10 lessons instead of £300, a saving of £30.
Lessons at The Centre for Wellbeing in Malvern cost £35 each and last 40-45 minutes.
You will remain fully clothed throughout, so please wear comfortable clothes, incuding socks.
While we are experiencing various restrictions due to Covid 19, I am waiving my cancellation policy, so if you feel unwell, you must cancel your lesson even if at very short notice.
If you would like to book a lesson please call me on 01905 864354 or send me a message:
"With the best intentions, the job of acting can become a display of accumulated bad habits, trapped instincts and blocked energies. Working with the Alexander Technique has given me sightings of another way... Mind and body, work and life together. Real imaginative freedom..."
